- 2Register with your mobile number and email, then note down the application number and password.
- 3Fill in personal, academic and exam-centre details, and upload your photo and signature in the format the bulletin specifies.
- 4Pay the application fee online and download the confirmation page — keep it until admissions are over.

What is NIFT?
The NIFT entrance exam is used for admission to the B.Des and B.FTech programmes at NIFT's 19 campuses, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.
B.Des aspirants take the General Ability Test (GAT) and the Creative Ability Test (CAT), followed by a Situation Test for shortlisted candidates. B.FTech aspirants take only the GAT.

Check these before you register.
- Passed or appearing in Class 12 in any stream (B.Des).
- B.FTech requires Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- Maximum age 24 years as on 1 August 2027 (5 years' relaxation for SC/ST/PwD).

When is the NIFT 2027 entrance exam?
The NIFT 2027 written exam (GAT and CAT) is on 10 January 2027, as per NTA's examination calendar — about a month earlier than in 2026. Registration dates aren't announced yet; expect the window to close in early-to-mid December 2026.
Is drawing compulsory for NIFT?
Drawing is required for B.Des aspirants in the Creative Ability Test. B.FTech aspirants take only the General Ability Test and do not need to draw.
When is the NIFT 2027 registration?
Registration: 15 Oct – 10 Dec 2026 (expected). Apply on the official website, nift.ac.in.
When will the NIFT 2027 admit card be released?
Admit card: 3 Jan 2027 (expected). Download it from nift.ac.in using your application number.
