Question 1

How does the Course Finder pick programmes for me?

Accepted Answer

It matches your chosen interest area and career goal against tags on each IGNOU programme, and filters out programmes that need Mathematics if you said you're not comfortable with it. It's a directional match, not a guarantee of eligibility or of career outcome.

Question 2

Should I trust this over talking to an actual counsellor?

Accepted Answer

Use this as a fast first filter to narrow ~16 programmes down to 2-4 relevant ones. For a decision this important, we'd still recommend talking to a real IGNOU student or an InsideEdge Insider before you finalise — it's free.

Question 3

What if none of the results feel right?

Accepted Answer

Try a different interest area or career goal — many programmes support multiple paths. You can also change your Level (UG/PG) if you're unsure which stage is right for you.

Question 4

Does a high match mean I'm eligible for that programme?

Accepted Answer

Not automatically. Match score reflects fit with your interests and goals, not eligibility. Once you shortlist a programme, run it through the Eligibility Checker to confirm you meet the qualification and marks criteria.
